The Tulsa Preservation Commission invites the public to celebrate National Preservation Month this May at the 2024 Preservation Awards on Wednesday, May 15, 5:30 p.m. at the Philcade Building, 509 S. Boston Ave. The awards ceremony is a celebration of the people who have contributed to the preservation of historic resources in Tulsa. Light hors d’œuvres and drinks will be provided, followed by the presentation of awards.

About the Awards

Nominations were received and reviewed based on completeness, detail, occurrence in the past five years, location, representation of best practices, and demonstrated community impact on the history of Tulsa or public preservation efforts.

The TPC Outreach Committee selected award recipients in the following categories:

  • Best Preserved Building
  • Commercial Reuse & Repurpose
  • Preservation Advocacy
  • “Back from the Brink” Projects
  • Residential Rehab & Restoration
  • Sensitive Additions & New Construction
  • Public-Private Partnership
  • Mayor’s Award for Service in Historic Preservation
