Maxine Johnson
(1927 – 2007)
From the Artist, Roberto Delgado
The three images are the classic Douglas DC-3 aircraft, the Oklahoma State University logo, and Ms. Johnson’s portrait. Apart from being one of my favorite planes, throughout the 30s and 40s, major components were manufactured in Tulsa. Ms. Johnson worked for many years with Douglas Aircraft, retiring in 1927. She was instrumental in pointing young people towards college, working closely with OSU.
