The Tulsa Planning Office invites the public to provide input on proposed changes to the landscaping chapter of Tulsa’s zoning code during a community event next Thursday, March 21, 2019, 4-6 p.m. in the Central Center at Centennial Park, near 6th & Peoria.

A draft of the proposed changes, along with illustrations, will be available at the event and online. After public comments from this meeting are considered, a finalized draft will head to the Tulsa Metropolitan Planning Commission (TMAPC) and then to Tulsa City Council for adoption.

Once adopted, the landscape regulations will become part of Tulsa’s zoning code, which went into effect in January 2016. At that time, officials determined that the landscaping chapter needed a more in-depth look, and since then, planning officials and consultants have worked with local landscape architects and developers to update the regulations.

All comments, suggestions, and questions are welcome. For more information, contact Dwayne Wilkerson with the Tulsa Planning Office at dwilkerson@incog.org or 918.579.9475. The draft of the landscape chapter update can be found online.
