Tulsa County Board of Adjustment
The Tulsa County Board of Adjustment is empowered by Oklahoma state law to hear appeals from the County Inspector, grant special exceptions and variances, and make interpretations of zoning maps and text within the unincorporated areas of the county. (Section 1610, Tulsa County Zoning Code)
When an application is filed, staff disseminates official public notices and informs nearby residents and neighborhood associations. Staff then reviews appropriate plans and development policies to formulate the case study and staff analysis. An action summary and/or minutes are prepared of the BOA meetings and sent to various county policy and administrative officials for their information and/or action as appropriate.
